If you’re waiting on the 444, hate to tell you son, that train don’t stop here anymore

First, it was the Festival Express. A cross Canada train tour that included The Band, Janis Joplin, The Grateful Dead,The Flying Burrito Brothers, and  Buddy Guy; stopping in cities along the way, and documenting the whole experience.

after that , no one really cared about trains for a while.

Then it was Mumford and Son’s turn to bring out the nostalgia with their Railroad Revival tour. Set up the same as the train tour of old, they toured the Southwest of the United States with Old Crow Medicine Show and Edward Sharp and the Magnetic Zero’s.

Now, its time for a new group of artists to take that nostalgia and spin it on it’s head.  This year, Its the Full Flex Express which brings together some of the best en electronica with Skrillex, Grimes, Pretty Lights, KOAN Sound, and Tokimonsta on a train across the Great White North. They’re stopping in 6 cities along the way, including Toronto!!

Skrillex seems to like to do these ‘vehicle gimmick’ tours. You’ll recall his participation with Holy Ship! last year.
