I’ll be laughing in your head until I wanna stop…

It happens all the time. I hear a song, fall in love with it,  and it gets stuck in my head. It stays there for days and days; certain hooks playing over and over again in my brain.  It’s almost enough to drive someone crazy!

Lately the tune dancing around in my head is from July Talk. A Toronto find that is a mix of Tom Waits meets Yeah Yeah Yeahs meets Metric. It was the voice of Peter Dreimanis that grabbed me originally. I’m a total sucker for a gruff Waitsy voice; his is clear and melodic with some aggressiveness thrown in. He contrasts the sweetness of Leah Fay’s vocals so well. 

And so I pass this gift on to you- their song Paper Girl. It will likely be stuck in your head for days! ( and no, I’m not sorry 😉 )
