Its the time of the season…

March 14, 2013 | Filed under: Canadian Music Week, Music, Uncategorized and tagged with: Badbadnotgood, Ben Caplan, Canadian Music Week, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Osheaga, The Darcys

I’ve had my first taste of it, now i want more. Today, its so cold that you wouldn’t know it, but hints of spring are all around, lifting spirits and hopes of the greatness of the sunny seasons to come.
There is one other season on the horizon that’s worth planning for….

Festival season!

SXSW is underway, Osheaga and  Bluesfest have released their line ups ( bluesfest tickets are on sale now, and tickets for the montreal epic go on sale tomorrow morning); Bonaroo has already sold out most of its ticket tiers, and Lolapalooza is sparking up buzz with its T-Shirt design contest.

Closer to home Canadian Music Week is gearing up in a couple of days, and if you can’t find at least 1 artist you want to see, you just aren’t trying hard enough.
This year Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds area must see in my books. The Dacrys will be back fresh from SXSW and will *hopefully* be serenading us with some tunes from their recent AJA release. East coaster Ben Caplan will leave his mark upon your ear drums with his wonderfully soulful style that can only be described as Tom Waits meets Klezmer ( check out his tune Conduit here).  The Wooden Sky and Amos the Transparent will make you feel like one of the family, and if  hiphop/jazz fusion if your thing you must check out BadBadNotGood.

get all the line up info to plan what your music filled week will look like!

Is there a band you think we NEED to see this year? let us know! post to us on FACEBOOK or tweet us @audiolustblog with your must sees!
